Creative Economy Days — 2018. Players' Power

Value Chains in Creative Industries. The ecosystem of creative industries in Ukraine is gradually evolving, but there is still a lack of interaction in a number of value chains, or even separate chain links are missing – there are no agencies that develop and help promote design decisions, fab labs, where designers can realize a conceived concept, financial tools to buy raw materials to launch new collection etc.

Our goal is to contribute to the formation of a broad industrial and fashion design market in Ukraine with deep links in value chains – with healthy competition, different models of work, categories and developed ecosystem.

Panel discussion 'Formation of value chains in creative industries’:

How to stimulate specialization in certain value chains (furniture, lighting, toys, clothes) – the role of brands, manufacturers, design agencies, ecosystems (finance, capital provision). The role of ecosystem players in signaling missing or weak links.

Interaction of market participants (of different chains, as a chain is a market itself) for the formation of demand, the creation and expansion of markets. Co-competition.

The importance of strong and mature players – who are they? (a large staff, years of experience in the market, a clear business strategy, etc.).

Retail – when a strong retailer (who understands the transformation of online and offline channels) moves the market
